if the collab is boring naturally less ppl will watch, I only collab with ppl i have fun with, and works out (never more than 1 at the same time) gets messy if its a lot of ppl. I'm a nice boy who loves being mean. Always enjoyed negative interactions more than positive ones because there are no stakes. What are the bare minimum requirements for someone interested in vtubing? A decent modern computer with a good webcam? Does it matter if it's a desktop or laptop? Along with an understanding of OBS software and a rigged model, yes?

A microphone, a pc that can run OBS, and a good enough internet to be capable of stream is the bare minimum.
You use stuff like software for PNGs (available in the links, free) and you create an account, settle on a timeslot, then go live.

Laptop can be worked with if you have a decent discrete GPU. Within 5% of desktop performance
OBS is the big one. Staging different elements like overlays, backgrounds, game, scene management. You don't need to watch every tutorial under the sun, but familiarize yourself with the fundamentals.
A decent mic will carry you far, especially as a vtuber. You do not need to overspend. Familiarize yourself with how gain, compressors, limiters, noise suppression and noise gates work. Yes, listen to your own voice. Request and accept feedback from chat.
Bare minimum would be being a PNGtuber. The model would react in very fixed ways based on audio volume and sometimes video/webcam input. There are many ways of doing this. Do your research, experiment, and see what gives results you're satisfied with.
Make sure your upload speed is high enough, consistent, and that your bitrate matches your computer's capabilities and network's speed. https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/broadcasting-guidelines?language=en_US As a starting streamer, viewers will not be able to adjust quality settings. Start streaming at around 720p so that viewers with lower-quality internet can still view your stream while not compromising quality.
