If someone is entertaining and I'm looking for entertainment I won't care if it's a man or a woman.
>If you are watching a woman there is a sexual attraction element in it.
With vtubers there is the suspension of disbelief but, and if this is just a skill issue on my part, it is what it is, but my mind doesn't allow me to hold that thought, that I have a chance, the thought never enters my mind. To me it's an entertainer, whether it's through their way of playing, wittiness, art or music. It's the same with GFE ASMR, I listened to it once, the audio quality was impeccable but I felt nothing towards the scenario, it's not towards me, it's towards a general audience looking for that specific niche, if that makes sense. (I believe it was an early video on Alias Anono if I remember the name correctly, not sure if she's been affected by youtube's asmr rules). I'm pretty sure I would enjoy something close to an audiobook, but not because "omg, my e-gf is reading to me".
Who knows, maybe I'm just too self aware in a bad way.
Let me explain my resonance, in todays internet everyone is deathly afraid to be cringe, so as a method of protection, people don't take anything too seriously and talk a certain way to fit in, regardless of platform, though write patterns differ. A vtuber is an entertainer that doesn't have to show her face and if she acts cringe, well she's already an anime woman so who cares.
What I'm trying to say is if there's no real life consequence to being cringe that's what I'll be looking for. Not every vtuber will think like this, much less someone who shows their face.
Ironic isn't it? That something fake could be more genuine than what's presented in reality.
I know I came across as a sarcastic asshat so I'll apologize for that. I'm happy to continue this discussion.
