Vedal / Neuro is already king (or queen?) of Twitch Vtubers

AI isn't going to take over vtubing until we get general AI or at least start getting far closer to it. Neuro's success hasn't been replicated by anyone else, and that's probably for the same reason that most people get bored of attempting to get funny/interesting things out of chatbots. LLMs are too limited atm.
I don't think we're anywhere close to something resembling general AI, let alone getting to just the point where AIs can reason and actually remember things. Check back in a decade or two probably.

Excluding Neuro, I'd say it's not likely for AI vtubers to get more popular than real women in vtubing. Hell, around a week ago I got into one of those Tiktok idol groups and it's pretty much taking over my will to jerk it to AI chatbots.
