Just about every small indie I've watched in the past looked up to Nina as the indie who made it big, gets invited to all these cool events, has loads of connections for financing the assets and equipment, etc., so I'm shocked that her youtube is in such a dire state with <1K views for someone with such a huge audience. Those are like VOD numbers of views for a vtuber with a much smaller channel.
I don't understand it. Does her community not care about her singing or something?

There's no shortage of vtubers that have been around for 4+ years and have almost nothing to show for it. 30ccv, no partner, no merch, no networking beyond other literal whos, just money going down the drain.

Depends where you set the bar. If the bar is set to "lifting off" then yes. You're right. If you set the bar of making it big off like girls do so from massive drama ie recently vshojo collapsing (beasties girls) or being in a huge corpo then no. She's in the most uncomfortable position of being too big for small vtubers to talk to and too small for big vtubers. Sure she has it good, but IMO vtubing wise it's more like telling people to be grateful that children in Africa are starving. Sure it's true, doesn't invalidate the reality either.

ultimately the biggest thing she needs to do now is network a bit more, she's got some fairly big people who do like her and will promote her but she understandably doesn't want to bother them too much in DMs.
But the way around this is simply hanging out in their chats, just being around in their chats is enough to remind someone "oh yeah, I was going to plan that thing" or even get a spontaneous invite for something. I know Nina prefers being a lurker and maybe hates that preferential treatment but it's just something she might have to do.

A lot of 4views have grown a lot from networking like this.
