Why does twitch seem to generate 90% of vtuber drama?

Because that's where the big indies are. Corpos generate less drama overall because they employ tard wranglers, and corpos are on youtube.
Though when you get the youtube vtuber drama, it's usually extra spicy because only the spicy drama gets past the tard wranglers.

There is no reason to stream on youtube if you want to grow and aren't JP - which means that everyone who streams on youtube does so because something about twitch repels them, and the most likely candidate is its fucking vile leecher/grifter/hasan worshipping culture. So you could quite literally say it is as simple as "good people stream on youtube, bad piece of shit grifters stream on twitch".

as for this its mostly just indies and due to the way twitch works if you can cause drama and not be the one being called out you can get rid of competition which lets you bump up in the order of discovery since the people with more viewers get seen before everyone else.

If you want the tldr, it's mostly reddit's fault. A few years back /r/livestreamfail became a drama sub where retards congregated to gossip about streamers. Some big streamers realised it was possible to get constant attention by drama baiting and instigating, which led to shitloads of streamers doing it. Because like half the top dogs on the site were doing this, it gradually trickled down to everyone else, and now the whole site is just a viper's nest of vapid retards trying to start drama because it's a cheap way to boost views.
Pair that toxic site culture with indies not having managers to tardwrangle them like corporate chuubas do, and spending far too much time on twitter, and you get a recipe for constant drama and petty slapfights.
Also keep in mind that what this board calls a yab or drama is a complete and utter nothingburger for like 99% of viewers. This board is basically just /r/livestreamfail but for chuubas
