Start an ASMR channel on YouTube see how that goes first. Do your asmr reps. What mic are you thinking of getting? My advice is to start with a blue yeti there are lots of great triggers you can achieve with one and they are relatively cheap used. Check out Nextdoor or Facebook marketplace.

I don’t see a reason to invest in a 300+ dollar mic if you’re not already dipping your toes into it and found you like it and want to be serious about it.

The reason I suggest starting a specific channel is because asmr will bring you a specific audience and there will be a large gap between asmr and non asmr streams. Which if you are on twitch will make it harder to get partner because there will be inconsistencies in your CCV which will flag it as inflated viewership.

Additionally you would be keeping your niches separate which is a good thing but MOST IMPORTANTLY. Bans will remain channel specific so if you get too many strikes for being sus even if you’re not being sus it will not impact your non ASMR channels.

ASMR is really fun to do but it is absolutely not for everyone and you have to go into it knowing that 80% of your listeners are probably going to be listening one handed.
