I'm convinced they tweaked 4.5 and made it dumber. It's becoming repetitive and stale. I didn't change anything in my system prompt and there's a clear change in quality.

You mean Claude 4.5? Sometimes it does feel just like you said, but then it goes back to normal.
Have you noticed the quality changing while using the same characters? I make new cards every now and then, and I noticed that when I prompt it to make the greetings the quality seems much better if I give it more to work with (i.e writing more about the character's personality and story in the card itself and/or giving it a specific scenario when I ask for the greeting), so it might be a card issue if you're experiencing it with specific characters. Otherwise, it might just be random.

Is there anyone rich enough to have tried Opus 4.1?
Sonnet 4.5 feels the best. Grok 4 is ok but doesn't seem as good at narrative, more prone to following the card prompt too closely and getting repetitive. Hornier though. I don't use OAI models because Sam Altman creeps me out like Zuck when he was full-lizardman.

Opus and 4.5 are closely tied imo. Both are way better than the next best option but if you use 4.5 long enough you'll notice flaws. It has its own claudism and the dialogue and plot ideas lack variety. Everyone ends up sounding the same because they use the same phrases, same jokes, same sentence structures, even the same conversation flow. 4.5 also has that signature "silliness" that all Sonnet models share. 4.1 is a bit more "serious" whether that's a positive is entirely a matter of taste but my best sessions are always with opus. Grok is intelligent, understands even the most complicated set ups but is an ass at creativity. OAI are not worth using. I wouldn't use it even if it's free.
