The problem with this one in particular is that she needed the production done in a little over a month, so all the japanese studios rejected her.
Then one of her chinese vtuber friends, Hiiro, got her in contact with the studio she used, which happens to be the largest esports company in China and they came in clutch to rush it out, though it cost extra because of it.

Most vtubers don't talk about money but most also don't dump as much if it back into their content as Doki/Selen. At least she's making more now because she's not taking it in the tear end on merch cut like she was with Niji.

Didn't Kiara say that recording at a 3D studio cost a fortune? IIRC, she said that when she checked, recording at an outside studio would cost her several tens of thousands and up to close to hundred thousands bucks .
I wouldn't be surprised if half or more than half of those $50K were spent on 3D recording at a studio
