You get a lot of people shitting on EW1 for a few reasons but when you think of Resident Evils prior to Resident Evil 4... RE4 had a lot of goofy camp stuff. EW1 is like a more psychological horror true to Resident Evil successor than RE4 actually is with that in mind, but with the shooting elements of 4. A lot of anons seem to like Evil Within 2 even more than me. It plays very modern and very fluid. The series' western setting and tone with a clear mix of Japanese horror inspired bosses is cool.

Gigi looks like a gremlin, Liz like a chunii leader, Raora like a lovable fluffball, and all that stuff jives well with their actual personality. To me, CC looks like a nerdy artsy type. Which isn´t totally wrong, but it misses portraying her as the extroverted menace she is.

Now I do expect you to disagree with me here, because she really made the model her own and her constant smuggery was sorta imprinted into that rather neutral doll design. Especially after she got her hands on her 3D model. But I do think the model initially didn't have the secret CC-sauce.

Also I think this mismatch is why the JP's end up rather suprised when actually meeting CC.

So, Kiara has talked a lot, and one of the things she has mentioned was that her base/debut model's looks were designed without any input from her.
However, I vaguely remember a Kiara clip where she talked about the design process for the models, in the context of "Oh, Advent didn't do things like that." Given what we know, they probably have a base concept, and then the talents can make adjustment if they so wish.

Shiori has talked about this, at least starting for Advent they have been hiring first, then designing the model around a description they write themselves (likes, dislikes, etc) as well as a clip of themselves talking.
