That'll do it. One teaspoon of vanilla makes a big difference. I would recommend giving them another go for yourself whenever you're able, as well as adding a pinch of nutmeg if you have some on hand. I did that along with melting down butter in the microwave to pour over each piece and it tasted wonderful, though the slices ended up breaking apart in the skillet some which made the plate rather messy.

Nta but I didn't soak mine for more than 30 seconds. The brioche bread I got was a little bit on the thin side so if I waited too long it would have just fallen apart before I even got it to the pan if it was too saturated. I also added in a little bit of almond extract which gives a nice warm flavor on top of the vanilla.
