And they've changed my life for the better too. I started getting back into things I thought I'd never touch ever again. I started improving myself when I had no other motivation to get better before. I thought I'd just slowly deteriorate until I die but I decided to fix myself up because of cute boys. There’s definitely an overrepresentation of certain types of guys in EN vtubing. It feels like if you pick two random EN guys they would have more overlapping interests than two random JP guys. Part of this is probably due to anime and vtubers being more niche than in Japan so you won’t have people from all walks of life start vtubing. I also think that part of it is due to vtubing having a perceived high barrier of entry leading to fewer people even starting to stream, a week ago I saw a vtuber talk about debuting and he had a list of things he had to finish before debuting and it was

And these are just the few things I could think of off the top of my head. I remember another Kindred pointed out that he would skip over USD supas to read $5 HK supas.
