Yes I did grow too familiar with the twitch culture of lower 3s and under in saying chatters names and that is something I’m specifically working on phasing out because it has caused a certain expectation for people to get a response out of me directly with their name attached to it and often times a back and forth. When that happens and someone ends up taking up too much of my time it derails the flow of the stream and becomes less entertaining to other viewers who do not want to hear someone get more than a few seconds of of unnamed attention.

It is an unfortunate first phase many vtubers just starting have to fall into because they think they won’t succeed otherwise. But you can still chat with chat without being too direct with who it is you’re reading and responding.
