Also one thing I personally hate is that everyone's usernames are different colours. In YouTube you see mods as a different colour while everyone else is either green or grey, but on Twitch it's hard to tell people apart.

Whenever I hear anything about twitch, it's always something bad, like the thing you told us to disregard, which is in itself pretty funny. Of course, that could be just the media/social media negativity bias.
Whenever I open the website, I see a cluttered, eye-fucking, unfamiliar interface. Could I get used to it? Sure, but I'd rather holos just streamed closer to my comfort zone, i.e. on the platform I know and with the people I know (other holoENs).

Wow seems a lot happened last night. Doesn't really bother me as I don't watch streams with them anyway, but this is going to be all we're going to hear about for the next month isn't it? Oh well, lot's of Liz after today!

I think because of the drama, and they do double standards because there is drama even on Youtube.

Why does this happen? There are many reasons:
1) Twitch is heavily focused on creating a community around the platform and not just around the creator or the network, so you have things like Twitchcon.
2) It has a smaller audience and less content creators, you don't have tons and tons of people working on it and so the drama ones speak louder, especially when they have the biggest numbers.


it's pretty much different from Youtube, especially on a sense of community and interactions, but this is caused from how tiny and young Twitch is compared to Youtube.

But i prefer the interface of Twitch, it has more space for the video and chat, it's like a fullscreen. Also it has more customizable features. The only bad thing is the subscriptions, which aren't really as customizable as Youtube.

We're also one of the youngest groups with an oshi who streams far less by comparison, of course we're not going to see much in the way of change. I think there is bigger problems with twitch than YT at a platform level, having to go to a YT channel to watch an archived twitch vod is just redundant. At the end of the day it's tribalism just like you have with consoles, it's silly but it is what it is.
