its actually pretty fun. at first it might feel a bit slow because of the limited inventory and stuff, later on it become much more enjoyable. if i had to point out one thing i dislike about this game is collecting the item. you have to travel all over the map just to find the item you need for quest, but its not guaranteed it will be there

It's pretty fun, a bang for bucks for this kind of quality. I plays top down shooter pretty often and Duckov comes out quite good. The shooting and aiming is quite crisp and fun to play. I kinda want more type of soft/hard and destructible covers for more tactical choices though

Till today, my favorite of the series is still the much maligned FF8.
It was the first FF I've ever played, though the way I view Squall certainly changed as I aged.
As a kid, Squall was the cool one. As a teen, Squall became just a little too edgy for my liking. As an adult, I now consider Squall as one of the 'realest' protagonist of the series - my latest replay of FF8 had me truly sympathizing with the amount of shit he was forced to take on (especially by Cid).
And whilst the Junction system certainly is flawed (and less malleable than the Materia system of 7), I can at least appreciate the ease in which it is to utterly break the game in half even at Disc 1.

It's Hime's favourite FF so you're not alone. Squall had a hard life and he's the hero who never really wanted to be one, everything is thrust upon him by the people around him. Because he's responsible and 'collected' he gets pushed to lead when he wants to be left alone causing him frustration. I think Pekora will hate him for being a moody to begin with but will love the assassination attempt and how he grows from there. It's a good game and one of the more unique ones of the classic FFs. She will of course be obsessed with Seifer though
