While I'm glad they didn't terminate her, the way they downplayed everything Haato said because she was having an episode is deplorable. Most of the statement wasn't even about her but about protecting other talents.

You're acting like this is Haachama's statement that got hijacked by the other talents, but it's kinda the other way around. The main purpose of the statement is to acknowledge that they're taking legal action against people slandering the other talents. Haachama is just there for context.
That's not because they don't care about her. It's just that mental health breaks don't normally get big, permanent, official website statements like this. Usually they'd just post something on xitter for the fans to read, because the fans are the only ones who'd need to read it. A statement like this one is reserved for when they want to reach a wider audience, which is usually for one of two reasons:

Haachama's hiatus doesn't meet the 1st requirement, so the 2nd one is the only reason the statement exists at all.
Even if this statement was just for her, I still don't see your issue with it. They said she's taking a break for her mental health, and told people not to take her words out of context. What else should they have said? They can't tell us anything about her family or medical situation because that's personal information, they can't share that behind her back. A "we wish her the best during her recovery" would've been nice, but hopefully it's just corporate nip autism that made them not want to put any human flourishes in a formal statement like this.
