I guess that's (part of) why he decided to nuke all of his content and de-ass from the company without giving anyone besides Kuro more than 5 seconds' warning of his departure. As far as the time off between that tweet and his graduation, I don't know if it was a genuine hiatus because of the maelstrom of emotions he was feeling about finding out his employer lied to him about his friend, or if it was a "hiatus" because management found out he had reached out to Doki to apologize to her (or had reached out to her at all)

It also puts the other livers' nice and supportive tweets in a really weird light. Most likely they wouldn't have known what he was talking about... I don't remember who all replied to that, but depending on how he felt about them/their role in the whole thing, that's got to have been a pretty fucked up experience.
As for the time gap- the graduation queue rrat was never really disproven. Though for the livers we know the timelines of it was closer to six months between turning in the papers and graduating. Maybe he took a bit more time to actually commit to it.
Actually come to think of it, it's been implied that he hung out with Kuro in Japan after Overture and that's when he made the decision to leave, after talking with Kuro... if he really did receive that shock during Overture... man, what a mess.
