It wasn't "many," it was two specifically: Uruka and Airi. Turns out they got flagged for fraud by an automated system because they barely used their twitch channels and yet had large numbers of subs because of whales. From what Uruka, Airi, and Clio have said since the unban, the fact that all of their payments were going to the same place may have also been a factor. The guy who designed that system, and who acknowledged it was banning for false positives and that he didn't care, just got laid off. Pippa did a whole video on it.

It was a poorly designed automated system that banned them, and unwillingness to review that kept them banned. Even the best AI is going to have false positives, which is why you need humans who are available to review appeals and willing to overrule the AI when it gets it wrong.
