I barely watch the JP side of Holo because my Japanese isn't good enough to understand about 50-60% of what they say. I also don't watch streams that much these days anyways. That being said, I'm not surprised they might be having some issues. I mean, realistically how big can the Vtuber market even be? I feel like they've reached the maximum of what they can do in this market. Who's left who wants to watch Vtubers but hasn't already found someone? With people constantly popping up, there's ton of competition as well. Seems like an issue to debut more people too because then you compete against your own people as well.

Maybe they're waiting for people to drop before debuting more? Or maybe the economy worldwide taking a downturn has made them more risk-adverse. The livestreaming part is easy, cheap, and makes money. The merch can be adjusted for decreased volume, but the big production shit probably eats a hole into their accounts, especially things like HoloEarth that realistically probably won't make its money back.

Also, I'm not sure how profitable it is to release so many songs when most don't do well. Must cost a lot of money to astroturf Youtube and Reddit so that people don't shit on Mori's music too openly for example.
