For me, it is because there is limited things that the twins can currently do. They are almost like disabled children unable to leave the hospital, yet, they are able to have others view the outside for them. It is possible to simply feed them images from videos and on the internet, or even generate a world for them to interact with, but you do miss out on cultures that cannot be simply studied. In addition, given their AI has some limited knowledge on the real world, having them be able to have "current knowledge" of what is going on is a plus. It goes beyond simply saying "I did (something that did not happen and could not possibly happen) yesterday" to "I did (something that did happen, and there is proof that I experienced it)".
Once the twins are able to venture out in public, I wouldn't believe it would be necessarily easy to simply have them do it themselves too unless robots become commonplace in real life (though you will still have the occasional schizo, which would mean that "laws" regarding simply just hijacking/kidnapping a rando robo would need to be established).
I would like to see them be able to do these kinds of stuff themselves though, and once they can, then yes I can 100% say there is absolutely no need for a collab. (Not saying there cannot be wants for a collab, but if Neuro and Evil can already do the functions and experience it themselves... There is not much use of having a human "helping" them perse)
