Many of these wallpapers are unnecessary large, so you can use a file converter to transforme the huge png files to jpg.
You may have to tweak the settings a little bit and or read a quick guide but that's only the first time until you find the balance that works for you, for example for wallpapers you want a small compression leaving the images at sizes around 0.5 and 3 mb depending on the resolution
