They are trying, but it just doesn't look cosy does it? It looks like a clearly New World modern spacious building with a thin veneer. The average English pub looks and feels more like being in the Lord of the Rings. The roof needs to be far lower, the individual four chair tiny tables need to be replaced by much larger tables or benches, and their needs to be far less floor room. Also it needs to be darker and perhaps lit by a fire. I know these things are not usual in modern restaurants but this is trying to be a Lord of the Rings style inn/tavern.
