i don't know where else to ask, and I can't post my desktop because its video...
where do I find GOOD video wallpaper sites? it doesn't seem like they exist.
I just spent over an hour on youtube and i'm tired of it putting shorts and irrelevant crap in the list. and every other site is phone papes or static image made "to move" bollocks.
i'm looking for super simplistic particles rise/drop/move sideways on the screen screensaver type of stuff, and i'm not even sure this board can have video let alone 10 hour loops

failing this i'm just going to make some in blender / loop 5 minutes of laying perfectly still offscreen while looking at something scenic in elden ring again or something like that.

this may sound condescending considering the board but who the fuck is using normal wallpapers in current year?

Metronomig between content and absolutely miserable. Feel like I'm heading for some serious health issues if I don't take care of myself soon.

I tried once to find some good video wallpapers but I gave up because all of the websites are filled with AI slop and those which lack a shred of creativity.

DESU it's not worth the resource drain to run them and not the effort to make or dig them through thousand video to find one.

It looks clean and simple. I'm not familiar with mac platform but to me looks nice.

With that wallpaper it look like it's early 2000's. I'm interested to see what it would look like down the line when you get more into customizing.

It looks great. Are the top icons your bar? if not what are they? Icon shortcuts?

Minimized running apps. A single click activates them and exposes a floating nametag with the title so they can be dragged around the screen on a grid. Double clicks restore the window.

That's cool. Are you using a program for it or you created it yourself?

The CRT bloom effect on the terminal look nice. What emulator is that?

Welcome to the world of distro and desktop manager hoppings.

Keep it simple, stupid. The cyberpunk icon is the cherry on top.

the terminal there is Cool-Retro-Term. As for hopping, I don't think I'm likely to do so. I'm pretty happy using Mint for the time being, and the only reason I can think of to use another distro is for something like the forearm-mounted computer I'm in the early stages of designing. there's a fedora-based distro that apparently would work well with it so long as I'm basing it on the right boards. Planning to build that using a touchscreen with the use-case of pairing to my phone to control media, pairing to an external bluetooth keyboard for on-the-go coding and pentesting, and also using it to control an FPV drone I'm building to take on hikes and shit.

Sure, here's the wallpaper.
