I have a shit ton of swf files saved, and I have no clue what to do with them since flash died. Can't even open them.

Convert them to .mp4 with https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/creator-resources/animation-resources/swivel-flash-to-video
Or keep playing them in the standalone flash player, it's still working https://archive.org/download/standaloneflashplayers/fp/fp_32/32.0.0.465/

So this is it... That's how it ends. I've been posting Daily Dose along with other Doctors for years, ensuring that the /f/aggots stay healthy. Then one day, it's gone. But enough about me, I have something to say. (I'm ESL, forgive me.) Something philosophical mixed with a rant; They say that 4chan still stand, but at what cost? The cost of one of the best boards? The cost of a part of 4chan's soul? 4chan is still standing for what?! Was the sacrifice of /f/ really necessary? It's up to you to decide, I'm only one of the dozen anons who used this board, so my voice shouldn't matter. But, I still think the sacrifice of /f/ wasn't necessary. 4chan in is current state is anything but standing. /f/ was killed because of fear, fear of the hacker inserting himself by using /f/ because the equipment was too old dated. /f/'s sacrifice is the proof that fear and dread have overtaken the rational thoughts of the moderation team. Say whatever you want, but no, 4chan isn't standing, it's hiding because of fear and paranoia, else /f/ would still be around. Maybe I'm unable to let go, maybe I'm disappointed because I couldn't say goodbye like when >adobe decided to not support flash anymore. Who knows? Where we will go to get quality flash discussion? Play flash games? /f/ had a small, but awesome community. It's been the only board that wasn't moderated, because it didn't need to be moderated. Hell, I can only hope that /f/ will one day come back, so I can post Daily Dose like nothing had happened, Thursgay will continue, we will play the game in DA HOOD! And many more memes, games, ritual posts, random shit that I forgot, because my memory is really bad. Anyway, I'm done thinking and ranting at the same time. I'll maybe try to find something else to ritual post or just fade away like the anonymous into the green mass, and finally. Be free of 4chan. Yeah, you aren't forever here.
Farewell, /f/. Will you one day come back to us? If not, then you're forever missed.

Because they're too lazy to do anything sensible. I was pleasantly shocked that we got to have ruffle added in the first place on /f/, I half expected it to be stuck as a "download and run it local" kind of thing for every flash posted.

There was like that girl from K-on, Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot, Renge from Non Non Biyori, Squid Girl and that girl from Nisemonogatari. I'm pretty sure I saw it on /f/ originally.

Well said. With the death of /f/ the admin team has killed off the last bit of the old spirit of this place. The absolute hypocrisy of that blog post saying they love the site as much as we do yet neglected it completely for a decade and can't be fucked to put in the work to bring back one of the most beloved parts of the site is absolutely disgusting. None of the alternatives feel like home, just imitations of it. 4chan and the internet as a whole has shifted into a place I don't feel like I belong in anymore.
