Yeah I do, honest. Every time a hit connects I get the urge to close my eyes or just turn away. And the blood? Can't stand it. I'm okay with blood when it's like a random everyday cut or whatever but if it's blood from someone bleeding after getting punched - it so much worse. Violence makes me feel nauseous and genuinely lightheaded in general.
I'm a 32 year old man btw

That's less to do with the throws being more difficult and more to do with MMA fighters just being less familiar with judo and slow to adopt in general. It's why judo throws were previously only used by high level judoka and sambo guys who transitioned over. It's now starting to trickle into the arsenal of the common man though, particularly when against or towards the cage.

not into combat sports in general, but sumo and judo seem pretty cool. dudes are respectful, not bashing each others' brains in and then running around hooting and hollering with one finger in the air. all this UFC shit is pretty terrible, at least to me. not only do i not enjoy watching people give each other brain damage, but you are watching two guys smash each other to bits so that a bunch of promoters and wealthy assholes can get richer. sure, a few fighters make a mint every once in a while, to make it seem like some sort of fair shake, but the vast majority of them get the shit kicked out of them and are permanently injured in one way or another with little to show for it. these things are like a casino--the owners always win. of course most commerce is like this, but it's not the same when your workers are getting the life pounded out of them in HD. it's gross.

Sumo and a lot of different folk wrestling traditions generally have rules which tend to stop the more violent or injury inducing aspects of the sport. Injuries still do happen but it's not as a debilitating compared to like Boxing. Like even the ground rules for sumo you could modify for your own wrestling rules with friends for fun, you could go with less strikes if you're inclined, and more emphasis on the holds/pushing and ringouts. Turkish oil wrestling has a good ruleset in that you can win through unbalancing someone or a pin but also by lifting them in the air and spinning around once which gives a good win avenue for someone attempting to win through power without needing to slam someone. Though it's also extremely homoerotic in that another way to win is to completely remove someone's pants. The oiling of bodies doesn't help either.

That's why there's no glory in it. Nobody cares, nobody respects electricity. People respect someone who gets electrocuted and doesn't die more than they respect the electricity if it kills somebody.

Imagine if there was a foot race between the four fastest humans and God Himself, and God came in first place by running a billion times faster than the speed of light. Literally nobody would care, nobody would clap or cheer, but on the other hand, the guy who came in 2nd place to God would get all the glory and all the accolades, people would hoist THAT guy on their shoulders and parade him around in a victory lap, even though he technically lost the race.

That's what God doesn't understand about human psychology. That's why He will never get the worship and adulation He thinks He deserves, because no matter how much better than human He is, it was still the ultimate pussy move to make us so small and stupid and fragile and weak. It's like playing a video game on easy mode and wondering why nobody respects your skills. It's like challenging the world heavyweight boxing champion in a boxing match and pulling a gun out of your shorts as soon as the bell rings and shooting him and then wondering why everybody boos you and they won't give you the belt. "But I beat the champ! I'm the champ, I beat the champ! Why are you arresting me?"

If God actually wanted to impress a human being, instead of being greater than an infinitely weaker being than Himself, He would have to create a being that was actually MORE powerful than Himself and then beat that guy. That's what human beings do, we EXCEED our limitations, and God will never do something that cool because He doesn't have any limitations. God isn't capable of courage or toughness or force of will.

And then He wonders why we are more impressed by a human baby for picking it's head up than we are about Him creating the universe from scratch.
