On the way home from school one day, Koga Konoha rescues Kusagakure Satoko, a ninja who escaped her village. Soon, pursuers from the village show up in search of Satoko only to be deftly dealt with by Konoha. As it turns out, the unassuming high schooler is actually an assassin. Thus, the potentially cutthroat cohabitation of a ninja and an assassin begins

Just now checked and it definitely wasn't lol. There is no torture scene at all and you barely see her body. Further, the anime design is completely different where she has hands there but tentacles in the manga!
I guess they extended this because they intend to end the anime after the Goaz "arc" or within a few chapters after.

>two girls in a post-apocalyptic setting made by a constantly depressed suicidal foid
I didn't know it was a post-apocalyptic setting, or that the writer was depressed and suicidal.
And even though it was transparently manipulative in every way, I got invested in it. The writing was good. I just wanted Chito and Yuuri to find happiness, not accept hopelessness.

And... they did it!

By the way, let me demystify some stuff here.

First of all, 郎 (Rou) is the name of the ramen/noodle shop in Chiikawa, and it's a reference to 二郎系 (jirou-kei) ramen, or restaurants that are an actual Jiro Ramen location, or that follow a similar style and format. They do indeed have this kinda strict menu and style of ordering that they like customers to adhere to, in order to keep things rolling. Reminiscent of Soup Nazi, except they're not gonna throw you out for making a mistake.

Also, the "karame" does NOT refer to spiciness. Instead, it refers to the strength of the special onions sauce blend that is added to the broth. Many of these shops have their own "secret blend" that they tout. By saying "karame" you mean you want extra sauce, to make the flavor stronger. The official Chiikawa subs on Crunchyroll made that mistake here and called it "spicy garlic", when in fact Hachiware is calling out two separate things: "garlic included" and "strong broth flavor".
Anonymous No.5895294 [Report]
>>5895293
Nowadays, many places have slip/card systems to expedite orders. Like color-coded slips for "oomori", "garlic", "veggies", "egg" and so on.

If it's your first time visiting one of these shops, don't try to customize though, just order the ramen "as-is" (at most, maybe add garlic if you want). That way you get the default flavor first. The standard bowl is already fine-tuned just the way the master likes it. After you come back a second or third time, then you can start changing things up to find what style you like.
Anonymous No.5895301 [Report] >>5895351
>>5895259
It's gut-wrenching, sure, but also unbelievably cathartic. But, to each their own.
Anonymous No.5895307 [Report]
>>5895293
It's also funny and relatable that Chiikawa/Hachiware have to go study up before visiting the restaurant, because even some Japanese people feel the same about jiro-style places if they've never been. And even they make mistakes.

Here's an example of a common mistake: If you just call out "hai", sometimes you won't actually get garlic in your ramen (though they may include it on the side just in case).

I subbed this video too, explaining that common mistake
