I will admit I'm addicted to porn but in my case I use it as a way to deal with overwhelming stress and masturbating just genuinely feels good, the important thing I noticed is keeping a good social life despite the addiction, if you're just never talking to anybody and keeping to yourself at all times I can see why it would become a huge issue.
