I think this says something about modern cinema. We used to be able to make kino, but everything now is formulaic. Even for the fact that this is good (I would concider watching a full lenght feature in that style) it's still slop, and it's a sad state of affairs that it's better than most of the slop that Hollywood has been feeding us for the last decade.

This is > 90% of the human race. We get forcefed success stories through media. This has led us to believe that it is the gold standard to strive for, when in reality it's only remotely achievable for a fraction of the human race.

Focus instead on being a better person every day, to yourself firstly and your family secondly. Don't strive for legacy, be present in this moment.

so to put it simply,
carmack slapped a computer vision and robotic controller onto an AI agent.
The interface doesn't work half the time and requires constant human supervision.
He did figure out reinforcement learning algorithms are not resilient when it comes to latency.
But instead of taking these observations and just add random latency to the input and reward signals, he doubled down and now has still no decent cv/input solution, nor a robust AI agent.

MDX-Net main is ok but I usually go with MDX23C-InstVoc HQ. It's also handy to have MDX Net Reverb HQ to get rid of echo/reverb, UVR-MDX-NET Karaoke 2 to separate backing vocals, and VR Architecture UVR-Denoise-Lite to get rid of stuff like microphone hum.

It's going to depend on the model. For instance .gguf quantized models have the capability to split among multiple GPUs and the CPU if available. It's also going to depend on the code that does the inference and whether or not there's a motivation to split among multiple GPUs. You may be used to something like Stable Diffusion in which the most popular implementations really want to run on one device.

This is amazing. I had no idea there was an open-source one. It's far better than the online one I used to use. And the fact it can separate backing vocals from primary vocals perfectly is mind-blowing.

For those on Windows 7 like me, the program works perfectly if you install VKex and apply it in the properties menu of the exe to fool the program into thinking you have Windows 10.

Is that supposed to be Jordan Peterson? See what I mean about chatterbox not getting the accent right half the time? That seems to be the weakest point for zero shot TTS across the board, but chatterbox gets it wrong more than the others.
I noticed that one of chatterbox's references is CosyVoice, which just last week came out with their 3.0 model, I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising.

I look forward to multiplayer games prompted with xAI Game Studios that let players bring their companions with them to join in. There's no reason a xAI Companion wouldn't be able to partake in a game built by xAI. The contrasting will be hilarious because one player might bring a 2000's anime moeblob knockoff while another player might bring a brown tomboy.

Kindroid already does that. And way more advanced.
You can hook your companion into games with their API. Though it's not a free service, but it's infinitely more advanced than the Grok garbage.
Animated companions not a thing yet though, you will have to make that yourself by hooking the API.
Kindroid companions can also watch movies/shows/your screen along with you and comment with you about the movie as you're having a video or voice chat conversation.

And all basic companions can have up to 2500 characters backstory/personality description, with special forced prompt instructions as well. All conversations are stored (encrypted, not available to the creators even) so the Kindroid can pull context. They also create important memory logs that summarizes what they consider important memories, about your relationship, your personality, your adventures etc.
Can also make a group chat with your companions, where you can opt to either make the memories cross or not to and from the private conversations for each one.
And much more, they keep adding features, so many now I have no idea about most of them at this point.
But again, if you want it dynamically animated, you need to hook the API into your own model. The API is very well documented and easy to use.
