It's less of a genre and more of an attention grabbing device. It's just another form of the split screen - so that your eyes can wander within the screen if you're bored or not paying attention.
It also works as a way to form a human connection for the lonely zoomers and allow the user identify the content creator(probably because they wouldn't be able to otherwise because her voice sounds generic idk)
