Every since I was a kid, 11-years-old, playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time back in 1998... I always loved its soundtrack and played the songs over and over and over again.

I just knew it was some piano music and cool stuff like an old American TV show. Kids don't care about the genre, they listen without thinking about that stuff, and even less when playing a game, TMI. Hell, we discovered many "genre" at that time in the pre-2000 area with MIDIs, and after that the first time I heard Total Annihilation or Red Alert soundtracks, I had no idea it was Soule or Klepacki without internet, it was not about the genre but the sound that goes along with the game, I guess we mostly all think alike as a young kid at that time. Just saying as you mentioned this.
