Autumnal Gondolas incoming. Last year's thread went long into winter, hopefully starting early will give winter gondolas their own thread.

What cool things did you anons see so far this year?

a bout of seasonal depression because I love summer and hate winter - and now the world is dying and going to turn into a frozen shithole soon - and then I get the regular calendar-perfect sniffles for two weeks, then there's Halloween and I'm in a spooky mood.

You can use paint, or draw something in paper and take a photo.

Wish I could find the original image of this in higher quality.

Usually I just feel a bit sad about summer ending before getting ready for all the autumn festivals to happen. Once October rolls around, I get super cosy.

A couple of fairs, apple picking with some family, preparing for Halloween and general getting my fall coats ready. I love this time of year so I'm generally in a good mood.
This is the time of year I listen to smooth jazz the most.

Australia doesn't really have the clearly demarked seasons of other parts of the world so I've never experienced the intense feelings and moods people associate with seasons.

autumn tradition for me is actually watching that show. my wife and I love autumn scents so buying some wax melts or candles is fun as well as decorating the house. I like to cook and due to a good few feasting holidays I get to have lots of fun. Unfortunately its oppressively hot here so we don't get to wear sweaters until the end of autumn. we have a newborn and toddler so it'll be fun celebrating with them

Funny enough I get a massive mood boost during autumn. I get sad around January/ February though

I think the emptiness that's at the heart of Australian culture, and the continent, more than makes up for it. Europe (and America) is affected by the seasons, but there is a desolation gnawing at the heart of this country, and it's something that can be seen and felt everyday.

On the one hand you're definitely exaggerating, there's still normality and joy in Australian culture and climate, but on the other hand I have experienced that sense of desolation you described. I don't really know what sort of cultural future this place has.
