songwriting isn't rocket science unlike what retards believe especially if you're just copycating those older styles. a lot of the mainstream music is soulless or artistically not that great like drake or greta van fleet (greta van fleet is a notorious knockoff of led zeppelin) it's just that people at the top have access to top-tier studio production and an army of various employees at the record label to help them out.
