You know? This show have been merely "ok" or "correct" so far. I wouldn't blame those who quit by episode 5 or 6.

But this episode not only is the best thing they have done so far, is kino on it's own. It really pull the viewer from feel sad to experience joyness. The brilliance of this is the studio didn't took over dramatic poses and yelling to make the viewer feel sad, just pure grounded and believable sobbing and tears. We have no idea who was the guy dead, barely any lines, but it feels bad, because we get to see how the people around him feel sad in a relatable way. Whoever have assisted a funeral knows that feeling of respect and depression that permeates the room, and that's what gachiukata achieved during this entire scene.

Great job.

So the Sun rises. Did Momonga learn?

Then they juxtapose it with that big creature (I think they call him Dekatsuyo) who is also learning new things...

JP fans seem to be undecided on whether he actually *ate* that little hunting pack. Perhaps they just ran away, but the skyline shot is very suspicious. And when he making the spitting sounds at the end, no berry skins/pits are spat out like they were earlier, so he does appear to have eating something... different..... and liked it........

I think it's no coincidence that this came right after the "Momonga tries to fucking eat Chiikawa" arc ( >>5958144 >>5958217 ). In one story, the attacker is put on the right path in life by friends. But in the other story, no such guidance came. As this chick likes to say, Chiikawa can be pretty deep man.

Also when this originally aired on Mezamashi TV, everyone in the studio looked stunned... frozen in place for a second. Then everyone burst into surprise, Ito was like "what the hell just happened?"

That discordant, deteriorating accordian sound at the end is a nice touch.

It's rare for me to actually laugh out loud at anything. But this dumb anime got me when the girl shot off the MC's dick like a water rocket then got hit by a car. The girl asking if it was ok to laugh at the "sad story" of the MC getting an erection was another.

Yukishio (snow salt) is a pretty big deal it seems. It's a very unique kind of sea salt harvested from Okinawa (Miyako Island). They have a whole museum there with guided tours and all.

And as you'd expect, they make all kinds of treats out of it. Skin / home-spa products too.

>Miyako Island is a coral reef protuberance made up of Ryukyu limestone. The limestone, with its many small cavities, acts as a natural filtration system, which removes impurities, making the end product as pure as the freshly fallen snow it resembles.

Ochazuke can be complex with a lot of ingredients, or literally just rice and tea/dashi, but either way it's damn good. I've never had it ice-cold though, that does sound amazing on a hot day.
Anonymous No.5975964 [Report] >>5976182

If you want to shortcut the fresh ingredients, there are seasoning packets you can get which are the next best thing. Almost amazing how good it is when it's just rice+tea+packet. Quick meal in a pinch.

>It is said that the direct ancestor of today's chazuke is a method of eating that was adopted by servants (apprentices) who were employed by merchants at that time so that they could finish their meal very quickly during their work. At that time, the servants spent most of their day working, and their meal times were controlled by their superiors, so this form of eating naturally arose. Since there was still no technology to keep cooked rice warm as it is today, chazuke was a convenient way to enjoy cold rice and to finish a meal quickly. It was very useful and popular.
