It's crazy how tame 9/11 memes feel nowadays. I remember people back then losing their minds from hearing 9/11 jokes or seeing video edits. The Overton Window shifted big time when it comes to how shocking content has to be to get people to react.

I grew up during the Iraq War. I was one of those, fuck you if you dont like Bush!!! type of Americans. I had no idea what we were fighting for but believed in our government.

I read about the Office of Special Plans years later and it completely 180 shifted my mind. I haven't looked at post 9/11 the same ever again.

Ironically I was the opposite. I grew up doubting the war the entire time then came to support it once I realize we are basically annhailting them at 50:1 odds and the fewer of them the better. These live to kill and kill to live and we cant put the genie back in the bottle.

We have a safe west coast because we ruthlessly anhilated our enemies. We broke treaty after treaty to ensure their eradication.
