when i think about the general topic of 80s music i always visualise a fat man with cuffs and a tie chippendales style thrusting the air with his waist and he has like 50 echoes of him spawn behind him doing the same motion to represent the thrusting power and impact across the nation with some of them wearing various pieces of 80s tech like brick phones or walkmans to make them somewhat different and in the end its more like that guy with the rod on his jockstrap ringing the bell and theres disgusted members of the audience leaving being annoyed that they spent $70 and two hours waiting in line just to see this and nothing more. All the while the fat dudes hold their position and just sweat while standing there after their only and final activity. Thats what the decade reminds me of

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Are you talking about record executives, entertainment moguls? If so there isn't a single decade that's been immune to such parasites. It wasn't anything new to the 80s. The fashions and technology may change, but the ambition and greed never does

The band is 86. They were out of Atlanta GA. They were mostly post punk, alt and garage rock. The track I posted "The Prisoner" is off the LP "Closely Guarded Secret" released in 85. Hope that helps.
