Opioids
My dad is unfortunately experiencing opioid withdrawal and I was wondering if there was something that will help with his nausea and help him sleep during this extremely difficult time

Suboxone/bupenophine would relieve at least some of his symptoms if not all in about an hour, the ER might give you some if you take him?

will that set him back to square one though in the withdrawal process once it wears off, he said he just wants to get through it so he doesn't have to take anything again

I am so fucking scared of something like that happening to me with the nose thing
>did about $50,000 in cocaine over 2 years
>then railed opioids 24/7 for 2 years after, including extremely caustic RCs like U-47700 which would lead to constant sinus infections and blowing an entire tissue of blood and flesh chunks
I'm 10 years clean since October 5th but I'm still terrified of this because in the past year I've been blowing fat loads of mucus only out of my left nostril every 4 hours or so. Might just be a deviated septum but still...

For WD he can use Loperamide (Imodium). It's technically an opioid. Unsafely high dosage alleviates symptoms and obviously stops the constant diarrhea, but can lead to cardiac issues and heart attacks. I've been through 11 WDs so I know.
The best and only option he should take is going to a hospital ASAP. In America at least, you can't be in any trouble for using illegal drugs as long as you aren't caught with them or are DUI. I fatally OD'd in my parents house and the cops didn't even revoke my pistol permit or take my guns away, and I live in one of the most liberal states.
If he's a LEO/CO/Fed he could lose his job and if he admits to using before signing the paper that certifies "I do not use illegal drugs" before hire he could be charged with perjury, but that's unlikely.
Good luck anon, sorry about your dad

clonidine marginally helps with restless leg syndrome.

thanks everyone, took him to the hospital soon after and they gave him something (cant remember the name) I think it's worn off at this point but he said he was thankful to have some ease from the symptoms, hopefully only a few more days at most he said.

im really happy to hear this anon, you're a good man
24-72hrs is typically the peak/worst of detox but it really depends on how heavy his use was
hope and pray he's able to kick the habit, its been many many MANY years since i've had to go through that and i wouldnt wish it on anyone
