I can't take the smarm. One time I had a long drawn out argument on Reddit with him about it. I accused him of disrespecting sources because his attitude is always "um.. ha ha.. look how superior we are in the modern world, we laugh at this garbage". I also accused him of gatekeeping the occult with his PHD influencer buddies.

Let us say, he was not impressed. He explained that he was trying to open up the occult to the general public and that is precisely why he got into scholarship. I accepted that.

Can't argue with dubs, but seeing him get interviewed in a podcast made me lower my opinion of him. He also has a lot of faith in tech as an identity, which is always a red flag for these types. His production value is top notch though. It makes his flippant approach much more bearable even if he is cryptic for its own sake.
