Have you ever come across a cursed or enchanted item or enchanted your own item? A strange piece of jewelry or a talisman at a yard sale perhaps. Post such stories here.
>On my 16th birthday i received an interesting gift from my best friend, it is a talisman that was sold to his father by a native american shaman. As the story was told to me, the shaman sold him two talisman, one that would bring love and one that would bring luck to his life.
>He claims the talisman of love broke shortly after he divorced his wife, which then he gave the talisman of luck to his son(my friend) who then gifted said talisman to me. Its appears to be a copper wire warped around a smooth small oval of amber, the talisman is roughly three inches long and an inch think, its designed to hang from something, so naturally i put it up on my wall.
>Well one day when playing Monopoly with my family i decided to play around and call out for my good luck charm to achieve a specific roll, i believe i had asked for double sixes and to my amazement i rolled just that. Thinking of course it was just a random chance i then asked for another pair of numbers and rolled them as well. I did this if i can remember correctly nearly eight times? before my bizarre string of luck ended. My parents, disturbed by this event and asked me to get rid of the talisman. As far as they know i have but naturally i kept it hidden from view, have sense moved out and put the talisman back up on my wall. I'm still not sure how it quite works but I do seem to get lucky when it counts to be so.
What is the process of enchanting an item such that it has tangible affects like bolstering luck, protection, healing?
>I own what appears to be a Roman coin baring the face of Emperor Caligula. Has some goetic sigil carved over the face. Really finely dug in, like someone had to take the time to carve it in deep. I got it from my grandfather. During the Great War, he survived two mustard gas attacks and was never once hit by any gunfire. He claims the coin was responsible and was found in a little cloth bag below the earth in Verdun. Allegedly, it also contained the bones of a few small animals and was big enough to fit in the palm of one's hand. The one time he did lose his lucky trinket, his trench was shelled and he lost half of his left foot. Miraculously, the coin was later returned to my great grand-pappy by one of his comrades in arms, incidentally, one who escaped from the same shelling that cost GG his left foot, despite being only a few meters from him. For a while, he said, it looked like his wounds were becoming gangrenous. Upon the return of this odd little relic, his wounds actually began healing at an accellerated rate. Of course, he was still down a foot and was thusly discharged. Oddly, his friend copped it to Phosgene gas a few weeks later.
>I've been saved a few times by the coin, too. Hit by a car three times and not once have I experienced any broken bones or ruptures. Just a little bit of pain. The one time I broke my leg, I was playing football and elected to leave the coin at home, not wanting to lose it.
i thrifted a synthesizer and it had a big olde jesus fish on it

Nobody knows
I was wondering if anyone knows how to enchant an inanimate object with life and consciousness or if there's any spellbooks or techniques that focus on that.
Only in Nethack so far, but have seen a few sus items.
>>40492788this is the most zoomer brained retarded move
>i found an enchanted sticker that absorbed good vibes of God from decades of positivity! it took forever to come off and throw out!you fucking faggot retard
>>40491124 (OP)My girlfriend found a ring, all grey metal with a rotating inner section of metal with lizard motifs all around it and gave it to me as it looked cool but isn't her style.
I had my suspicions about it from the start. I ended up using wiping some of my blood on it, stupid I know but after previous success with blood magick I thought fuck it why not.
IT LITERALLY DISAPPEARED. It didn't dry off or seep away, it was literally absorbed by it.
>>40495457proof? video? what's the ring made of? silver?
>>40495486I'll have to dig it out, I put it in a box and kept it away as I honestly don't trust it. I've worn it a few times and it feels strange. I'm pretty drunk truth be told but if I can be arsed I'll find it and post a pic.
The item itself is nothing special, it's probably a fuckin Etsy fidget ring some overweight metalhead dropped, she said she found it getting off the bus from college.
Proof of the "abilities"? Idk man I'm not about to self harm over it but if I naturally bleed again I'll make sure it's out and capture a vid and update.
Sorry if it's not what you were hoping for, but yeah. That's life.
>>40493050Burn an incense with intent on a box containing the item. But that being said, I don't have to do a lot of pomp and circumstance to get results. So you might need a chant, but I'm unfamiliar with which one is a documented source.
>>40495538Any chants you've seen used before or other people have used for this specific type of magic?
>>40491124 (OP)i bought these things at a thrift store and i dont really know what they are. they look hand carved and appear to be styled as sarcophagi. the top comes off and inside there is a small hole just big enough to hold one toothpick in each one. the toothpick itself also seems to hand carved.
I've smudged them several times and I've had them for years so i dont think they're cursed but their design and the oddity of an item with such a death-centric design, apparently made to hold only one single toothpick, makes them seem mysterious to me.
>>40496399Oh theyโre beautiful. However I donโt believe theyโre sarcophagi as I believe these actually originated in SouthEast Asia. The Hmong-mien dynasty were well known for making these as a way for them to help women give birth during labour by inserting these and widening the vagina, making it easier for the baby to come out.
>>40491124 (OP)I've been to a few weird shops but boomers only hoard the mundane stuff of Americana that will inevitably become irrelevant.
Bought this bag for $20 from Salvation Army (worth over $300) and Iโve been shitting dicks out your motherโs mouth ever since.
Cursed, haunted, enchanted and blessed item do exists. But you need to either actually experience the effects of the curse/enchantment yourself, unless you learn psychometry.
My grandmother found this on the side of the road somewhere and she let me have it, the angel is clearly haphazardly glued on but it has an energy to it

I once found a cursed dildo in Goodwill. Best orgasms of my life but then a hellbeast ate my big toe.
>>40501501Netherworldlies have claimed and named my big toes. The left is her "big dipper", the right is her "tea tree".
My cousin found this in a back alley of East Vancouver.
She recently died from a heroin overdose.
Prayer wheel i bought on auction for equivalent of 80 dollars

>>40491124 (OP)I'm not really sure if it counts, and I'm going to have cut the whole part off so it doesn't go on too long
>Me and friend go into an empty house when were about 8 or 9>Impossible to get into, but we did (won't get into how, much too long and inconsequential)>Start exploring because all of the old tenants stuff is still there>Friend is upstairs and here him talking to someone>Go up>Some middle aged guy talking to him in a bedroom>Gives my friend something that he puts in his pocket and then notices I'm watching from the doorway>Tells me to come in>Do (reluctantly)>Reaches behind some drawers and gives me a pencil drawing>It's a big A3 thing of this enormously nude muscular man from the back, kinda posing, standing on top of a mountain and holding a bull's skull aloft with one hand>No idea what the fuck it signifies but it looks cool and I like art>Swear from that day everything in my life turned to complete shit>Took it to school to show my teacher because he loved art>Said it was fantastically drawn etc>Then kinda peered at it and told me to get rid of it>Didn't say why, but it caused young me to shit myself just by his reaction>Got rid of it>Luck didn't improve at allCould have been coincidence but a curse is much more /x/.
It really was brilliantly done. It was backed on card and had this weird plastic binding over it to protect it. Not quite laminate but not quite perspex neither, it was strange.
Also the guy who gave me it wasn't the previous tenant because I knew him and his kids. Never saw the guy before and never saw him again. Also have no idea how he got in or out of that house.
>>40506104did you find out what ur friend got
>>40506138Shit I meant to mention that I didn't. Whatever it was it was small enough to fit into pocket.
He moved away about 6 months later and I never saw him again. Weirdly my cousin actually moved into the house we were in, but absolutely nothing spooky or bad luckish has ever happened to him.

>>40529588but what properties do they have? are enchantments like +luck or +intelligence or str real?
>>40496399Those are made of smack you dolt. Straight up Crash smack
I wouldn't say cursed, but there's this been this uncanny oddness for me to find what I'm looking for/have dreamed about/someone has recently mentioned in charity shops/thrift stores.
I do go to them most days, but more often than not the items never reappear so it's not as if they're that common that they get them in all of the time.
I do usually buy whatever it is because I'm a retard and think it must have some kind of meaning.
>>40501963Iโm sorry for your loss, anon.
>>40491124 (OP)>faggot wastes 8 wishes on MonopolyI am sure that was amusing for you and the one helping you.
