Arizona resident here. Went (illegally) camping out with 2 friends a week or so ago near Page on the rez, within view of Navajo Mountain.
We were drinking, loud, generally not very respectful and we left a few things when we were packing up. One friend whistled and made fun of the skinwalker superstition, which we told him to cut it out, just in case. Nothing notable happened during the stay apart from a feeling of being watched for a few minutes which I chalked up to the drinking. It didn't seem like any of my friends felt it.
Now, I've come back to Prescott and I'm not sure if this is just an insane series of coincidences or what.
Had a dream (which I rarely dream) shortly after returning that I found three recorders (the instruments) lying on the ground in front of me in an old childhood neighborhood: one was a shitty, cracked clear plastic one; another a high quality plastic one with some ornamentation; the last a beautiful, wooden and carved one with golden accents. I was somehow aware that these belonged to a neighbor my family was close to when we lived there.
In the dream, I picked up all three to take with me but got annoyed at not having a hand free by carrying all three, so I decided to return the shittiest recorder at my neighbor's doorstep. The second I set it down, an extremely dissonant and grating droning noise started playing all around me, the sky darkened with clouds in seconds, the wind picked up to a howl, and I felt the most malicious presence I've ever felt in my life staring at me from behind.
I turn around and this figure that looks like a blend of a demon and a witch dressed in black robes and a wide brimmed, black hat is raising its arm at me. It makes a flicking motion and sends my body into the air, then flicks me back down headfirst into the ground. I distinctly remember getting the impression in the dream that this was not the first time I had encountered this being. Woke up drenched in a cold sweat at like 2am.

Onto the next experience. My dad lives not far from me in Dewey-Humboldt, so I visit him occasionally. His neighborhood is dark as FUCK at night, so it's a little spooky making the 2 or so minute walk back to the car when I leave after dark, but nothing intolerable with a flashlight.
Well, as I was leaving after visiting him, the second I stepped out the door I got the distinct impression that I would encounter a canine of some sort. A large dog, a coyote, a wolf, I'm not sure, but my brain was SCREAMING at me that I was going to encounter one. I made up an excuse to have my dad walk with me to the car because I've never had my intuition scream at me like that before.
The entire drive back I feel like someone is staring daggers into my back and neck. The walk from my car to the apartment is at most 30 seconds, but I feel like I'm about to be attacked the entire time. The INSTANT I close the door behind me, and I truly do mean immediately, the coyotes around the neighborhood and in the nearby zoo start howling, and they keep howling for a good 5 minutes.
Last experience happened last night which compelled me to make this post. I work closing at a fast food place in Prescott Valley, and as I was clocking out at like 11pm, I see a coyote moving around the area, when it stops and looks at me. Mind you, I was completely silent and still watching this thing, and it immediately whips around and locks onto me from a good 2-300 feet. It didnt even flinch when a car drove by around 20 feet from it as it continued to stare at me before turning around and sauntering off into the bushes.
I'm usually not a superstitious type, but I feel that these events all within 5 days of each other is a little hard to ignore. Unsure what to think of all of this.
go to a monastery, thai forest in the west coast or some orthodox/catholic ones. ask the monks to ritually cleanse you.
>>40499343Will cleansing from a different belief system work? Should I not seek a Navajo shaman?
>>40499412not the guy you asked, but as long as you believe in the faith, whatever deity you believe in will cleanse you
Oh, I also meant to ask if anyone had any interpretations of the dream. Far as I can tell, it was a judgement of character, and I was found lacking by trying to steal the nice recorders.
>>40499548Problem is I would consider myself an atheist, at best agnostic.
>>40499263 (OP)Did any of your buddies have similar dreams?
>>40499755One guy said he dreamt of getting chased by coyotes the next morning of. Didn't think anything of it considering we were out in the high desert and had heard coyotes yapping that night.
Don't fuck around. Lesson learned.

>>40499263 (OP)Well you just had to fuck around indian sacred ground huh. You have to remove the curse with a local shaman
>>40499263 (OP)Perhaps you should enquire your experience with the navajo people, who you trust the most. They are far more knowledge in this kind of subject than your average basement dwelling shitposter.
>>40499548Not a chance, it's like mixing water with oil. Curses lives in the minds and locations of a certain culture. Why are not leprechaum curses or phenomena? It's due to the fact that you're not in the right context/time.
Maybe you're just having the dreams because your sub conscious feels bad about your poor behavior. I would just carry on normally and stop worrying about it, sounds like you're in your own head. Just remember to stop littering and show more respect when in nature.
>>40500353Maybe there are spirits involved.
>>40499412>Will cleansing from a different belief system work?Yes, as long as you sincerely believe that the ritual works.
>>40499263 (OP)Just came by to tell you you're a fucking retard, you will not enjoy how this ends and the rest of your life will probably be absolutely fucked beyond comprehension
Having done something the same, expect your life to unravel. On the plus side, you won't doubt there's an afterlife now.
>>40499596>Problem is I would consider myself an atheist, at best agnostic.then why the fuck do you even believe in curses?
Update: was driving back from Kingman (hence the delay) from visiting my girlfriend and saw a dead coyote on the side of the road with three crows picking at its corpse on the I-40. I dont think that bodes well
>>40500684I was generally pretty respectful I would say, it was my buddies who were really raucous. Still, I guess I got unlucky and singled out or we're all fucked.
>>40500287Seems like what I'm going to do
>>40500785Well its kind of hard to chalk all of this up to just a coincidence right? Idk maybe i'll become religious after this.
>>40499412navajo shaman is actually best. if you go to, say, a catholic priest and convince him to do something for you (which he wont) you'll be locked out anything to do with navajo for the rest of your life. you need someone who can talk to the navajo spirits and negotiate a truce.
Your ignorance of a thing, or your disbelief, does not mean that thing does not exist.
>>40501107Learn the lesson; don't do it again.
>>40501086Good point, Iโm not too aware of Navajo religious beliefs and customs. Iโll probably head up this weekend. Do you know if I should bring something as a peace offering like food or jewelry? Or do the spirits not care for that stuff? Donโt want to have to make 2 trips cause itโs a far drive
>>40501113Are you implying Iโm being tracked and stalked by whatever I pissed off because it aligns with the Aztec calendarโs days of the hunt?
One last question Lucifer, what do you make of the dream? I feel there is some deeper symbolism that I am missing besides โI was greedy and got punished for itโ
>>40501130>>40501158You were fucking around with the spirits and now the spirits are fucking around with you, which is fair.
The dream is yours to interpret. There's a moral lesson being taught.
>>40499263 (OP)I think these experiences indicate the unconscious recognition of your own irreverent behavior in, what seems to be, a "sacred space".
Navajo Mountain is a holy place - outsiders are forbidden from going there (it really is quite dangerous). Even if you were at a distance, perhaps the genii of the land have been trying to tell you to be more respectful, next time. They communicate through the unconscious - symbolically (especially in dreams) and with animal familiars (inhabitants of the locale).
Make a tobacco offering in the wilds and apologize for your behavior. Be more reverent, next time.
>>40499263 (OP)>>40501121Instead of starting by going to a priest or shaman, why not just try praying to Jesus directly, the one to whom all power and authority over such spirits was explicitly given? You said that you were atheistic/agnostic; you can be honest to him with your doubts, he won't mind. No harm in praying to him and asking him to help you and stop this harassment. It is better than trying to confront these unknown things alone and by guessing. Best of luck to you OP.
>>40499263 (OP)go to the wilderness at midnight. Drop your pants and assume the position. Whatever happens, happens.
>>40499596>by trying to steal the nice recordersYou were stealing the recorders? I thought you were returning them. Explain how your feelings towards the recorders evolved from seeing them, picking them up, getting annoyed by not having enough hands, and returning them.
As for the dream vision, clearly you're a superstitious type, and you acknowledged that there's some degree of spoopiness from the camping trip. The three recorders could represent yourself and your three friends, and the returning of one to the neighbour then provoked painful judgement from a spoopy entity. The spoopy entity could be the spirit of the land, but I'm more inclined to think it's your own cosmic sense of justice manifesting itself in your psyche to force you to digest your own self-doubts about your conduct into a more comfortable/manageable ego consciousness.
A part of you knows that you effectively took a shit on God's doorstep, and the dreams and fears are the "guilt" of that action making themselves known in your daily experience because you've upset the balance of the cosmos.
Don't worry about it. Indian spirits are like the ghosts of aliens or a viral infection. Just dont go back. When I'm driving through Indian country i speed up because they are all crackhead criminals but you, being a genius, want to trespass in a desolate shithole.
>>40501937I found the three recorders on the ground, and, not wanting to let them go to waste just sitting there, I picked them up. I was initially happy getting the 2 nicer ones, but quickly got annoyed because I could only really hold 2 in one hand without risking them falling out - 3 in one hand was annoying. So, knowing who the recorders belonged to, I decided to do a "good deed" and return the least valuable recorder and keep the other 2 with me, keeping a hand open. I knew it was wrong, but greed overtook me anyways in the dream
>>40501311I'll try the tobacco offering when I go up to the rez
>>40499263 (OP)Next time carry a buckeye when you travel.
>>40502247superstition behind buckeyes?
>>40499263 (OP)Repent and Pray to Jesus Christ to rebuke the evil spirit that latched onto you. Believing, you shall be saved. Lay off illicit substances and work on your relationship with Jesus Christ. Also be mindful of "churches", especially in Prescott. lots of wolves in sheep's clothing up there. KJV for study. But above all, pray to Jesus Christ. Talk with Him. I will pray for you anon. Peace of the Lord be with you.
>>40501014Honestly it just sounds like your buddies pissed off a land spirit and he's bullying you in retaliation gangstalker style, it's not really a curse you gotta look at intent with all things spiritual. Go back to the spot you camped at with some offerings you can burn (look up what Navajo use for offerings idk), clean up the trash, light up a cigarette, apologize to the land god there, chill for a bit and try to feel its presence, you should be good. If you keep running in fear it will never end
>>40503521Sorry but that's ignorant advice when it comes to dealing with local deities and spirits
>>40501121Offerings of food are good. Jewelry might disagree with the spirit based on temperment and astrological resonance. Bring a gift for the shaman too. Be apologetic, humble, and willing to learn
>>40502140Those were for coyotes you jackass.
>>40501121do you know for sure you're gonna find a guy? there's a good chance you hook up with someone who's happy to fake it for you, especially if he thinks he can get money out of you. I feel like trying to find the right guy is going to be a bit of a challenge.
>>40501796it's not a bad idea, but I think any non-believer is going to not want to do this out of concern for opening up a can of worms.
op is in for a time, that's for sure
>>40504981having read this thread I think I want to say skip the shaman. deal direct. trying to find a legit middleman is going to end poorly. just do the tobacco offering like the other anon said, and sit and be receptive thing is good advice too. if you're sensitive enough for the spirits to harass you, you're sensitive enough to negotiate a truce.
>>40504999It'll be funny if the next post OP says that the navajo mountains are cool and more delicious people should visit it more often.
>>40499263 (OP)its all in your head, you are manifesting the shit, you knew you shouldn't have went their and your brain is now filling the gaps. Good job manifesting this shit. I use to manifest shit like this after getting high but then realized that as long as I would just distract myself and go against what my brain was telling me it stopped. You just need a stronger will but my guess is you're a woman so you're gonna continue doing this until you get killed. Sucks to suck I guess.
>>40504999triples of middle path truthfulness just take it easy anon and say sorry and the spirits will be chill
Im not religious whatsoever but my experiences out there lead me to believe theres *something* going on
>in Utah near Corona Arch
>people are being assholes and letting dogs shit everywhere, leaving trash etc
>a voice in my head tells me this is a sacred place and to respect it
>decide to pick up some trash and carry it back down the trail with me
>throw it away and head down Potash Rd
>get back into Moab and park
>look up in the sky
>a rainbow forms for 10 seconds, right where im looking, then fades away
>eat then go back to camp
>throw a little weed in the fire as an offering
>reflect on how the natives would probably have really liked cannabis for many different reasons
>lay down in tent to sleep
>within seconds of closing my eyes my vision becomes a series of bright blue and purple swirls and eddies
>feel an intense energy resonating through my body
>feel like its somehow coming from the earth and im parallel with it
>suddenly I see two big black swastikas
>the swastikas begin spinning rapidly like wheels
>my vision turns into a field of spinning swastikas and blue/purple fractal energy patterns
>pass out
>wake up next day
>go to Newspaper Rock on way to Canyonlands Needles district
>ive never had a bloody nose in my life
>as I walk up to Newspaper Rock my nose begins bleeding profusely
Im not sure what it is, and people will likely write it off as โlol ur highโ, but ive never experienced anything like that vision or the nosebleed back home.
Basically, respect the land and be open and mindful to whatever might be dwelling there

>>40499263 (OP)No, you aren't cursed. Unless, of course, you WANT to be cursed. Come on, anon, don't you know you create your reality yet? Think your way into a better reality. Takes time and practice, do you have the will for it? Best to you, fren.
>>40507007https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG_WjK_Okcw
>>40499412just do something to get right with the land
yes if you have a navajo contact that would be ideal
but you should go out somewhere, get still, meditate, and set the intention to ask what you should do to make it right
when you get a sense of what should be done, go do that thing
and dont be so rude next time!
>>40499263 (OP)>>40499264don't be a bitch. kill it in your dream
Itโs just a walkskinner, many such cases
>Stupid burger goes to sacred land and does stupid burger stuff
>Chased by hehehuhu
>goes to stupid burger website to ask other burgers
So stupid he doesn't even pickles in burger
>>40499263 (OP)ur actually really gay and you're running from your gay demons the recorders are phallic you were diddled by the older neighbor kid and now you're scared of dogs as an adult
>>40499263 (OP)>drinking>loud>generally not very respectful>left a few things when we were packing up. >made fun of the skinwalker superstitionAre you guys beaners? That's beaner behavior.
you gon' get raped by a skinwalker bro, shouldnt have disrepected the navajos home
>>40499263 (OP)Your being paranoid.
You know of the legends of disrespecting Indian burial grounds. You had a dream of the surreal with a terrifying figure.
Your dad lives in a neighborhood with Coyotes. Because your paranoid your in a heightened state of awareness that makes up the feeling of you being watched when your not(I used to experience all the time in my childhood yard, which was huge and wooded. Place I grew up in was creepy). The coyotes howled when you closed the door because a loud noise set them off to howl.
Humans learn and understand the world by pattern matching. When we make patterns out of things that dont exist, that is delusion.
Also, if you encountered that witch figure/demon before, it logically means it has nothing to do with the burial ground
Only solution is to sage every post you make regardless of the thread. This is called โsagingโ, a few anons mentioned it earlier in the thread.
>>40499263 (OP)Your dream corresponds to the history of land theft committed upon the Dinรฉ (who you call the Navajo) from the 1860s onwards. Indigenous people are your neighbors in Arizona, the flutes refer to quality land used for settlement, leaving pittances to the people it used to belong to. You can think of it in terms of the Treaty of Bosque Redondo or the Indian Appropriations Act. These things are no longer actionable as they were in 1868, the memory of the Fearing Time now lost on as many Dinรฉ as white Americans, besides, I guess, a feeling that something has been irreparably destroyed. Whatever left resides there has no recourse other than hauntings and revenge in whatever small way.
These ancestor spirits are an ambassador and protector of the lives and dignity of their descendants. I think, to handle it, you should probably offer to do some volunteer work formally for the reservation. It'd be a more materially significant show of apology and way of repaying those people. Good luck anon
