ALL eternity?
as a buddist I was told the normal period of bardo is delayed as the suicidee gets to replay the moment for a undefined period of time. But I never heard a Lama actually mentioning it, my best guess is a one way ticket to the Preta realm

... once you are dead, there is no possibility of fixing errors that were made during life. After Death, there is Judgment, and that Judgment is severe.

You should not commit suicide, nor counsel others to commit suicide.

who exercises said judgement?
is the dead consciousness capable of real agency?

The Divine.

>is the dead consciousness capable of real agency

Not during the Judgment. That is entirely out of your control, which is in itself horrifying beyond words.

Is there any trial or passage immediately prior to such judgment?
And the most common penalty for suicidees is...?

There is Severity and Mercy in Judgment. In the case of suicide, expect greater Severity: I do not recommend suicide at all.

I don't think there is hope in suicide. But I do think there is hope in life. And I personally believe that consciousness itself is the most fundamental and important thing in all of existence. And I think consciousness and life itself will continue to persist even after our current life's passing away, for better or for worse.

So if consciousness is the most important thing in existence, then that means your consciousness matters the whole world right now even as we speak, no matter how terrible or pointless it may feel, it's all that matters and will ever matter. And if you're currently experiencing negative emotions and trauma from the past right now, then the best and most truly good thing that can be done is to give justice and peace to your life and conscious experience by continuing to live on and try your best to fight for your happiness and life. Because the worst thing that could happen to you is not death itself, but instead missing out on the meaningful and positive potential of your current life and it's experiences. I wouldn't want you to live your life only to then end it because of despair and emptiness, because your life and consciousnesses is precious and meaningful, just as mine is, and instead I hope with my heart that you find a way to heal and overcome your life's despair and emptiness, and to be able to experience all the joys and meanings in life with peace and happiness in your heart until your inevitable passing in life, just as I hope the same for myself. Why? Because your consciousness is all that matters, it is the most fundamental thing in existence, so please OP, cherish it no matter how small and insignificant it may feel, don't give up hope, and continue to live and fight on.

On a more practical note, from my personal experiences, I've been able to improve my own depression by getting lots of sunlight. Light is energy, and it's important for the body and mind. Vitamin D helps too. And meds helped as well. Good luck OP

Let's say you arr playing a game and said game let's you use a character but once you die as that character you can't play again that character it gets recorded you can only play if you want to see the same story without changes. kinda like that once you decide it's over no replaying yourself maybe your soul decides to play again as an animal or another human but you forget this experience.
Up to you it's not a test or a prison it's an experience you wanted to live and you decide when to quit

The 7 Stages of Demonic Possession

The Blood: Happens when a person has been broken into in places but the soul still has a main region free. Distinct bleeding feeling, feeling of a horrible cold sweat.

The Freeze: Freezing feeling, like someone put a numbing agent into the person. Awful, the the persons will cant move. Really really bad.

The Blur: There is usually before this, a tangible feeling of being able to reach the center of the person, even in the freezing feeling its still someone, when things get really bad its blurry, something about the real them is getting shattered and blurriness is the consequence; inconsistent and hard to reach aura, idk its horrible.

The Snap: At some distinct moment the demon gets them, they submit and get invaded; spinal cord gets snapped and they are now at a point of no return. Before they could always turn it around themselves, they will now need someone else if they are to get autonomy of themselves again.

Oppression: Drug use, gore, constant sex, maybe trans stuff, whatever to break the person as much as possible. Their soul is still intact underneath the enslavement of the demon so they have to be hounded constantly by the possessing demon so they give in more and more of themselves. Chaotic, people like this cause lots of problems; but its essentially a sign of a struggle which is a good thing.

Emptiness: The person, after getting hounded, each and every time losing more and more of themselves, at times gaining a bit, maybe somebody comes into their lives and causes a problem for the demon, but in the end losing; the emptiness, less and less of a struggle, just this awful increasingly hollow feeling. The demon now has total control.

Death: After a while the person can become a puppet, the demon controls them totally, they barely exist really, its just a demon in a human body. They are still there but its small, or at times minuscule. At this point the walls close in and it attempts to crush them.

If I was proven to be muh monarch mind control slave or muh demon possessed, would that make me a failed one at that? Are the useful ones those who never question anything and just go through it? How aware are them? Why would those in control need traumatized dummies anyway.

I've been through this, I might have merged with a demon. I'm still myself, just different, in fact it is like my mind works way better now.
