The entire mythology is a fabrication, back in the day a bunch of alternate societies existed specifically because the rich larpers of the era couldn't stomach even pretending to be working class.

Freemasonry grew out of the ancient guilds of legit masons who spent all day baking clay and cooking mortar.
With their expertise, masons would build the most immaculate structures, but this expertise was inundated with knowledge of sacred geometry and the interweaving of physics wasn't unusual.
Benevolent people needed this geometry in order to make their churches more effective houses of worship, so they happily paid those masons to do their best.
Malevolent people however would find masons who didn't want to do business, in the knowledge that the geometry would be abused for negative purposes.
That's where some of the malevolent organisations set up infiltration operations and got some of their peons to take apprenticeship with the masons.
They learned the craft through deceit and would eventually "break free" from the restrictions and guidelines of the traditional masonic guilds, hence Freemasons. Free to build as they please.
Over time the art of actually building shit slipped from their grasp and it became more about the malevolent rituals.
Ironically, much like the traditional guild, they implemented a step ladder of progression where you needed to achieve certain steps in order to learn deeper knowledge.
But because this organisation couldn't agree on anything (hence their freeness) we got different rites and different branches (red order, blue order) where the layering of info and the requirements vary.
Ultimately however, that too is just another deliberate means of obfuscation of the core truth, which is that the trad masons built to harmonise, and the freemasons build to destroy.

I like the christian stuff a lot man, but a lot of the issues that we have with our questions is how that stuff with kid sickness is deflected. To the pure idea that is of children, why would god allow such pain to happen? You say free will of man is what allows these things to happen. To say free will of man is hard to leave as the connection to kids suffering at random. I will say you're the first I've seen to actually allude to what I've come to understand in ya'lls thinkings. That the very nature of free will is just a catalyst that has allowed things to change. So because of that, these bad luck things are capable of happening purely because the option of man's influence is there. If that's the angle you're getting at.
