Any engineer out there that can confirm or deny who's been able to play around with mercury? Anyone able at all to actually say mercury is even available in a scientific way other than manufacturing? Is it even allowed in experimental forms anymore?

How can I find people who are sane enough to believe me that I think mercury is more than the toxic chemical used in thermometers? How can I overcome being banned everytime I bring it up?

When I was a kid my mom went to a yard sale where a retired scientist(?) was selling a liter of mercury. She did not know its dangerous. She told him "Can I buy this and is it safe for my kids to play with?" he said "Yes." (I suspect now this guy was some sort of psychopath evil person). So we took it home and poured it on the floor and began playing with it. About a week of this and someone (idk who) told her its dangerous so she took it outside and poured it down the water drain at the road. She didn't know that was dangerous either, I'm sure the entire town's water supply is fucked from it. (btw this was 30 years ago so statute of limitations is over zogbot bitches. also for legal purposes this story is a LARP anyway, fake).

So anyway i now have lifelong neurological damage from mercury poisoning and am retarded and disabled. This is all true (except for legal purposes of course, in which case its fake)

Mercury is the only metal we know of that can simulate what our molten core can do. Its not easy to make a small ball of molten rock and iron but it's practically backyard science if you have some liquid mercurcy

Nigger, go to a mountain and find some cinnabar. It's that pocky, ruddy and crumbly gravel stone of volcanic origin that is common in uplands. Get a pot that can take some serious heat, and fill it with crushed cinnabar and a little water and stick it on a hot fire. Mercury will burst out of the cinnabar.

As an added trick, you can add a bunch of mercury to crushed quartz or silt and it will form alloys out of all metals it touches, like gold. Pour off the excess mercury and melt the alloy. The mercury sublimated out, leaving refined ore.

Mercury is actually relatively harmless to handle. It isn't really toxic to touch or even eat it. But when you breathe it, it causes a ridiculous amount of damage to your neurological system.
If you want to handle mercury, make sure the ventilation is really good and do not breathe the gas. Mercury is very useful. If you want to play with it, burn it off some cinnabar. It's very easy. Literally burn it off rocks.
