Do you really need to be a Christian to believe in Christian values? Aren’t Christian values shared by other religions? Can’t you entertain a religion without buying into it?

Yes. All religion is art. You don’t have to be a Christian to celebrate Christmas. It’s like calling someone a Buddhist because they value life in its smallest forms. That’s not gatekept by any one religion.

I dont believe the supernatural part of the bible, and I dont believe the old testament history of ancient Israel, the bible is a fiction full if mythology, fables and brutally primitive laws, but there is a little bit of metaphorical truth and philosophy about life that I like so the bible is not completely worthless, I just don't believe it to be literally true, and those that do believe the bible to be literally true are usually naive and cringeworthy or they are faking it like a wolf in sheep's clothing sort of thing
