I'm interested in magic but I don't want to do anything with demonic entities. What are the best ways to invoke angels? I'm agnostic about God but I believe that lesser gods (angels) exist and protect humanity. I've had too many supernatural experiences to discount them. Any books or resources would be appreciated, Christian or not, I'm open minded. In fact, I'm very interested in supernatural schema other than the Christian one I grew ip with.

Can also check about demonolatry practices. I know you don't want to work with demons but in general all stuff applying to angels too. After all they are kinda same

Enoch and Theurgy are the best ways I know too. Just go into it with an open mind, angels are very different from us and what most people believe them to be. They will definitely see your beliefs as nonsense, and they aren’t easy to work with in the first place.

Consider offering to work for them to start with? But then they may never truly respect you? They also don’t enjoy “just chatting”

Clear a space using that, then use the invocation to contact the one you want to chat up.Then use it again to clean up.
Be sincere, humble and respectful and your odds of going insane are greatly lowered.
Also, just buy some catholic candles related to any angel you want to relate to and/or medals.
I like chaos magic, so if it were me I'd just write the name on a paper with whatever I was interested in and turn it into a sigil.
If your sincere expect a lot of synchronicity related to the angel your interested in.

Anyways, it is said that the Psalms guard encoded, secret formulas for calling out specific angels, specially in hebrew due to word plays with the angelic names which end in -el
