Yes and whatever religion you were born into. Gods can change fate. I grew up in ISKCON and know that Krishna is real and he has multiple times answered my prayers and intervened in a way that absolutely would not have happened if I did not pray to him. But when I left the religion a situation happened to me that I still haven't been able to get out of that almost completely ruined my life. My life is basically like rubble now. So my only options are either be a slave to Krishna or continue enduring a torturous life.
