>paranormal entity interacts with anon>instead of keeping it to himself anon shares it on 4chan>paranormal entity is no longer interested in interacting with other anons since it knows her existence will be milked for (you)s
Does anyone remember this one creepypasta/4chan post that was about how every year a single person is chosen to be "forgotten" by the world and it happened by every other human knowing where the person was and rushing there to kill and devour them and then destroying every personal belonging they had. I remember that the person would also get the memory of everyone else that was chosen before and the main character had enough time before people found him to see the memories of other people, the one before them was a girl that got immediately killed by her parents and as he went back to the stone age he saw the first chosen, cold and scared and realized that whatever was about to happen to him was a mercy because there was something much worse before.

need to head over to /k/ and look at their archives on cryptid hunting kit suggestions too.
>>40614679>cryptid hunting kitMy instinct would be that you're protected by things that are special to you.
Like, wear that bracelet your niece made you when she was 4 that you've kept all these years.
Bring the pocket knife you bought with your first 10 bucks.
Things that have a special memory or attachment infused into them SHOULD protect you.
>>40614723Actually a very fair idea, and I do take value in the concept of luck and enchantment.

>>40617157Those channels can make this board seem much more interesting than it really is. Itโs a lot easier to be spooked by a story of someone claiming to be an insider or government agent when you donโt see 20 of those people every day and the majority of the board being shallow, stupid, shitposters, or all three. Whatโs important to know about this board is that itโs the spooky stuff board, not the real stuff board, and thereโs no rule against making stories up. Though if there were a rule against making stories up I think a lot of real stories would get censored. With a lot of stories thereโs just no way for you to know for certain whether itโs real.

>>40658960I usually call them stuff like that, since there's not really a good name for them since "skinwalker" technically means something else. So usually "nasty forest critters" or "evil innawoods gribblies" works.
It's my friend's encounter so not really my place to tell the story. I've had some funny experiences in the woods myself but really nothing that exciting overall.
>>40656427Hey fellow anon. Good to see you're still about archiving. I won't talk too much relating to that one, it doesn't make good greentexts and risks doxing me any more. I do have some other stories to relate, though.

>>40660308Post stories pls
>>40660308>>40660697Sorry, at work! I've got some time now.
For our honeymoon my wife and I spent two weeks driving around Alaska, seeing various things she'd never seen and I'd never seen, etc etc. The last day/night of the trip we stopped at a spot on the Richardson highway, the rainbow mountains. Hidden back there is one of my favorite places in the whole state, you go up a rocky gully and climb about 1500-2000 feet up, and at the top there's a pass through the mountains that forms a bowl. It's sheltered from the wind, has decent topsoil accretion, a profusion of ground squirrels, some rare and endangered flowers, and beyond all that it /feels/ calm and peaceful. If I had to guess I'd say it's an actual place of power, either channeling energy from the mountains or a ley-line passing through, hard to say.
Wife's never been to THE spot, only a failed attempt a few years back (don't play with avalanches kids), so we're giving it another go. We park the truck and bushwhack over to the 'trail' head, and it already feels a little off, somebody has been illegally baiting for bears very recently. The only bears in this area are huge monster mountain grizzlies, very cool. We get to the gully, start climbing, and it's just as lovely as ever, lots of great rocks. The gully cuts through about 300 million years of rock strata, there's a profusion of different rocks, never know what you might find - my cousin found some jade once (there's an entire mountain face/scree slope of sea bed fossils hidden further back there, for example).
We get to the top, spend a couple hours in the spot. It's just as peaceful and lovely as I remember, really puts the body and soul at ease. It starts getting late and we figure, well, time to climb back down and find some lunch. We're just getting out of the bowl and back into the gully when I find two really neat rocks of a type I've not seen before in this gully. They look like they've been placed there (picrel)
>>40660922I felt a mild compulsion to take these rocks so I could figure out what they were. No reason other than they were unique - and in that gully that is unusual. We set off down the gully, I slip and cut my toe on a rock (chaco life), and all is well until we get to the bottom of the gully.
We get back to the trail that leads into the gully. I'm in front, my spastic blue heeler is trying to uproot a bush a little ahead of me, and I'm hit with this sense of unease at my back. I stop and turn around and find that the wife has done the exact same thing without saying anything. We're both just looking into the gully, like there's something there - because that's exactly what it feels like. The sensation of something being in there and very unhappy with us is radiating out of there like heat from a coal.
Here's the thing, though: there's fuck all to see. This gully is just scree slopes at 40-45 degrees, hard rock vertical faces, a run-off scoured bottom, and the occasional bush 2-3 feet tall spaced maybe 50-60 feet apart (see picrel of the mountains to get an idea). There's nothing there, but that gut feeling of danger is pinging hard just like back at the 'Moloch abduction site'. I ask if she's ever felt that before, she says no, and I gently explain to NEVER ignore that feeling and it's time to go.
So, we go. We take the long way back to the truck, down the trail to the highway, down the highway to where the truck's parked, rather than the shortcut game trail through the trees - better visibility. Whatever we are feeling the dog is too: her normal MO is to sprint from squirrel to squirrel in the woods, generally bursting from the brush at random 20-50 feet ahead of us. Now she's planted firmly 3 feet in front of me, swinging her head side to side like she's looking for something. This is the only time I've seen her do this.
We make it to the truck, have some quick sandwiches, decide against camping overnight and load up for home.
>>40661000As we drive the sense of unease deepens. We pass by two unusual wildlife scenes over the next 50 or so miles: first, a raven and a great gray owl in a broad ditch having some sort of dispute. Second, 5 moose (3 adult, 2 juvenile) huddled together, adults on the outside and juveniles on the inside, like they're fucking buffalo (this is VERY unusual).
At about 10PM I stop at a pull off just before the ~5 mile straight stretch in front of Donnelly Dome, outside Delta. The wife is getting something out of the cabover camper and I'm stretching my legs watching the dog sniff about when I realize something is amiss. If you've ever been on that stretch of road (I have biked it many times) you will know that the wind always blows there, full stop. The wind isn't blowing. There's no bird song (in July?? unheard of), and there's not even a solitary mosquito buzzing me. It's so quiet all I can hear is my tinnitus. Big nope on my part, thanks. I get the wife, we head out, we get home. After that all is well, pretty much.
Except, what the hell was it all about? It took me close to 4 years to put it all together. About a year ago I talked with a native orthodox priest about it after he came to bless my home (whole different saga), and he told me it sounded like little people. I asked my neighbors, village born and raised, and they agreed. But why were they so upset?
The rocks, obviously. I finally ID'd them - one is serpentstone (used decoratively), and one is chert (hard enough and knapps well, useful for making tools/spearheads/arrowheads). They looked like they had been set out because they had been - I think the little people were out there hunting down chert for tools (I confirmed through a USGS paper that there is a chert vein running through there) and I rolled through and stole their very nice fucking rock.
>>40661045In the native lore if you steal something belonging to the little people and don't get caught, that's great, truly. You'll be blessed and have good hunting. Get caught? Murkier on that, but not great. Well, about 9 months after this whole episode my great grandfather's machete disappeared - I mean truly disappeared. I spent close to 10 hours looking EVERYWHERE for it, but it's truly gone off the face of the earth. It was only recently I realized: THEY GOT ME. A theft for a theft - I stole their rock, they stole my very nice and useful machete. I didn't know any better, so I guess they took pity on me.
I'm pleased, honestly. From everything I've learned the little people the natives speak of are almost certainly just a branch of the fey folk. There are even fairy rings and their equivalent, and portals. Fifteen years back I heard a story of a woman in her thirties who was out mushroom picking and disappeared from a very remote village (one bush plane a week kind of place, you don't leave without people knowing). The villagers look for a while, don't find her, give her up for lost. Three weeks later they find out she's alive when she calls them from IRELAND, generally disoriented and no clue how she got there. There are also tales of little people variously stealing children, returning children, lines of lantern lights marching through the night... the parallels with the fey folk are amazing.
So, to tl;dr - I stole a rock from arctic fey folk and made them mad, they stole my machete. Nobody got hurt. Good outcome.
>>40661084>>40661045And, since I touched on it, my house was haunted.
>fiance and I are moving into grandma's old house to keep it lived in, help out the trust, get good rent>spend a couple months getting the side apartment livable before moving in, generally going after work and on weekends and puttering away>there by myself one day and get the distinct feeling of somebody standing behind me, nobody there of course>ask if it's grandma, presence suddenly becomes warm and welcoming>huge mistake, don't do this>this goes on for three weeks, finally mention it to the wife one day>she gets very excited, says the same thing has been happening to her, especially in the kitchen, that it feels like somebody is looking over her should and VERY unhappy with her>one day I'm working by myself and my analogue stereo turns the volume down on its own>haha ok grandma (spoiler: not grandma)>close-up work glasses disappear twice, spend over an hour looking for them each time>they were on the tank of the toilet in the other part of the house the first time, then the tank of the uninstalled toilet in a room I hadn't been working in the second time>wtf I've got a ghost, that's not something grandma would do though>move in, things are quiet for the rest of the summer>september rolls around, bringing the cold and the dark with it>dog starts getting protective of now pregnant wife>sometimes she will just sit in the dining room adjoining the kitchen and stare at the corner of the ceiling>alerts on nothing frequently>put wife to bed one night, I'm sitting on edge of bed, dog is on bed>dog perks up and looks towards window, then clearly tracks something from window to over my should>keeps staring over my shoulder, can't break her focus
>>40661120>another day I come home and dog comes and says hi, turns around to go back to kitchen, then jumps and turns 180 back to me>every hackle is up, including ones I didn't know she had>I briefly think she's snapped and is about to attack me>she stops right in front of me and pointedly looks BEHIND me>does it twice more in the next 15 minutes>next night I'm sitting on the stairs in the apartment talking to wife>hear a loud knock from the other part of the house, like somebody hit a wall in there>nothing over thereThere's a door between the apartment and the main part of the house, and since the apartment didn't have a kitchen we used the kitchen over there. The bedrooms upstairs were truly empty, but the living room was packed to the brim with the remainders of my grandmother's estate. Around this time when you went through the door into the main part of the house it felt like you were walking into thick fog or pea soup. The atmosphere in that part of the house would just make our hair stand on end.
>evening knocking goes on for a while>one night I'm particularly fed up with it and there's a good series of knocks>grab my handgun and go clear the whole upstairs (again)>standing in the empty master bedroom, only thing in there is an old landline phone>phone rings>so mad I go to answer it>accidentally knock it over and it unplugs itself (thanks divine providence)>after I calm down I realize the other three phones on the landline didn't ring>bulletdodged.pngAt this point things calmed down for a while, and we had our first child. Things stayed pretty quiet for about 4 months after her birth. Then:
>infant begins having nightmares>screaming in terror in her sleep>nightmares stop if we keep the curtains closed>weird feeling is still only in other part of the house>ghost can come in through the windows and give my infant nightmares, very cool>spring comes, then summer, other than the main house feeling haunted not much happens
>>40661170That fall my young-ish (24) cousin moved in to a room in the main part of the house. Yes, I did warn him. Shortly after this he got beat up by a gang of GI's, was off work for 7 months from injuries, lost his job, and got rather depressed. The 'ghost' seemed to like my cousin; I think it fed off his negative emotions.
>warn cousin house is haunted>he shrugs it off, "ghosts aren't real bro">"great, just make sure you pay rent on time" (SPOILER - he didn't)>noises start back up again>he sheepishly tells me he has heard footsteps in the hallway, and a sound like someone tapping their foot in an empty room up there>"yeah man, the house is haunted">cousin runs into my mom, mentions the house being haunted>mom gets offended, says ghosts aren't real>cousin comes home and tells me that he thinks my mom is right, it's just our imaginations>we're sitting in the kitchen at 11 at night>as soon as he says that five footsteps go down the hallway above our heads, like somebody stomping in work boots>"sure man, whatever you say">things stay at about this level through the winter, spring, and summer>cousin gets a GF, she comes over a lot, presumably they were sex-havers up there>the noise escalates, wife and I would be in kitchen and it would sound like there were people talking in his room when he wasn't home>every time you go up there to check it's dead quiet and electronics were off>cousin starts to complain of sleeping poorly, says GF tells him he's talking in his sleep like he's having nightmares>he can never remember his dreams so he can't say if he is or not (remember this)>september rolls around, I'm outside one night getting truck loaded up to go hunting>it's 10PM in my own fucking driveway and I get the DANGER DANGER YOU ARE BEING HUNTED sense going off hard>oh well, gotta pack>go inside for a bit though
>>40661240>cousin and his gf come home, warn him something is weird out there and to maybe stay inside>his eyes get BIG, he gets scared, tells me when he was getting out of her truck he glanced at the woods and thought he saw a couple lights>he looked away, realized he couldn't be seeing lights through 200 feet of dense nigger spruce, looked back - they were gone>said it was three lights about seven feet tall, spaced about six inches apart, like so: - =>neat, glowing yellow eyes in the woods>I don't sleep for shit that night, between packing, checking on the livestock, checking on the kids>pass out at 6AM ish, wake up at noon>cousin tried to call me before going to work, he's really worked up>that night after his gf left he had a nightmare>he said he woke up lying in his bed and could tell there was something in the hallway, but he couldn't move>it kept banging on his door until the door opened up>he tried to tell it to go away but couldn't speak>a black mass with glowing red eyes, as tall as the ceiling (granted, that's only 7 feet), came into the room and stood by his bed>cousin panicking at this point>all of a sudden a thought pops in his head and he manages to scream (hoarse whisper) "In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke you">he wakes up lying in bed, drenched in sweat, door still closedHe's not particularly religious, so I was surprised he whipped that out. He wasn't sure where he had heard it. I think his bacon got saved. Regardless of your thoughts on Christ, I've seen a lot of accounts of that specific phrase helping in these situations.
>I'm rather alarmed by this, but I go hunting anyways>real bummer of a trip, no moose, no bears, equipment damage - oh well>come home>cousin has had another nightmare while I'm gone
>>40661283>'wakes up' in his bed>there's a man sitting in a chair by his bed>face looks like a composite of all the men in our family, glowing red eyes>12+ (he isn't sure) shadow figures standing behind the man>man calmly tells cousin that he is "going to take over" the cousin's body>tells cousin all of the way he will make cousin mutilate his own body>tells cousin all the ways he will make cousin mutilate the people he loves>cousin's panic gets to, I figure, about an 11/10 before he remembers old reliable and whips out "In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke you">wakes up in bed scared out of his gourdWhen I hear this all my alarm bells go off and I realize what a FOOL I've been, because it was not and never had been a ghost in the house, but a DEMON.
>immediately track down an orthodox priest, he comes over a few days later and blesses the house>tells me living on the river and having grandma's old stuff still not completely dealt with have made an inviting home for the thing>my house is an energy backeddy collecting spooky trash, COOL>activity sharply abates after blessing, only a few instances of note afterwards - the usual voices in his room but nobody there>this happened after he brought home tinder whores (gf broke up with him)>everything seems to be OK nowThere's a few other things that I left out but are worth mentioning. Well into all of this, when I was pretty well numb to the spooky aspect, I remember a door opening on its own. I looked at it and said, "Really? After all this, NOW you whip out the old open the door trick? Not impressive, bud." Turns out for a few days prior it had been scaring my cousin by opening doors on him.
Cousin also reported getting the sensation things were looking at him through his window, so he'd keep the blinds down. I caught him shining his gun light out the window a few times like he was looking for something.

>>40661317The priest seemed to think the thing hadn't been there long, but looking back on it I think it had been there for decades. My grandma was an accountant for the catholic church, had nun friends etc, and I found a signed letter from one of them basically exhorting 'bad spirits' to leave the home with another paper (printed email recipe) from about 2002. My grandmother was VERY catholic, this was an unusual find. I also lived in that house for a time back around 2002-2003, and having memories of thinking I was seeing black figures out of the corners of my eyes upstairs. I was really young at the time, though, and just wrote it off. I think my cousin was just the perfect thing to feed off of and caused things to escalate enormously.
Why was the apartment side of the house always relatively safe? I don't know. Could be because we try to live spiritually well, could be something about my oldest kept it away (I should have named her Mulder). What I do know is things escalated every time he brought a tinder whore over, we could pretty much tell he had by how much noise came from his room while he was at work the next day. So, fucking tinder whores feeds demons, remember that.
And that's the really interesting spooky stuff from the last time we chatted, other than minor stuff with my kid. I figure you're gonna ask, so I'll share that too real quick.

>Wake up in the middle of the night
>see figure of a child sitting on the window frame
>Just assume it's my sister and tell her to go to bed
>Wake up in the morning
>Tell my mother about seeing my sister on the window frame
>Anon.. how could your sister get up there she's only 2
>Realize I seen a ghost
>Mother explains that I had an aunt who died young and looked like my sister.
>>40663551I've got a 2 year old, I can see it going either way. They'll climb anything that can be climbed, including everything that shouldn't... that said, it tracks for aunt ghost.

i regret not screenshotting this southern black woman's encounter with a white witch. i can paraphrase it ...... but basically she revealed how to counter it. something like grab a jar and place in it freshly ripped straws from a broom. make sure every straw is tall enough to poke out. tie them in a bundle with 1 hair i think? and slap the sticking out tops. slap away. she made this device when she saw a mystery black cat walking on 2 legs in her living room. slap slap slap slap slap. cat screamed like it went through a woodchipper and tackled itself out the door. a few months later they saw the rayciss neighbor woman get dropped off by some medic team in a wheelchair and some cast. i hope someone else has heard of this witch counter. id like to save the recipe but i dont fully recall the details

>>40656427 is easily the weirdest thing I have seen so far, simply for how inexplicable it remains. I don't know if you have seen or know much about aurora, but I can explain why it's so weird.
Normal aurora
>high energy particles penetrating into atmosphere>form dancing patterns along the field lines they penetrate on, often squiggly lines, sometimes swirls>only broad/diffuse when penetrating to lower latitudes (think of the red glow euros have been posting lately)>lasts for minutes to hours, smooth on-off curves (won't turn out like a light)>are rather dim in most cases, even when very goodThis 'aurora'
>EXTREMELY BRIGHT (so bright it woke my mother up, and she came to ask if we had been shining a flashlight into her room)>sub-second flashes>whole-horizonTo this day it remains inexplicable. Two witnesses and a third quasi-witness, but I never saw anyone else report it and never heard anyone else talk about it. The sheer energy required to do that would be insane, so I'm inclined to say it wasn't a government experiment for that reason (I doubt there's an antenna array yet built that can handle that). The only other account of an aurora bright enough to wake people I've come across was from the carrington event, which induced enough current to melt telegraph wires. The duration for this was markedly shorter, yes, but that should indicate the point-load involved. Solar outburst levels of energy, behaving like a signal light.
I really can't emphasize enough how strange that was. I can't remember exactly, but based on the house I think this would have been somewhere between 2004 and 2007.
>>40666959Yes, that whole experience pretty well cemented my thoughts on what sleep paralysis is.
