Yes and no. I think relativism is being treated like an absolute when really its just a contextual dependency. I think absolute reality is an ideal without strict definition, one that is both self fulfilling and self appraising. I spend a lot of time formalizing these notions mathematically for fun.

I can see it in one of two ways: either we sit on a scale with common on one end and unique on the other, with nobody fully leaned to one side. OR we could say that the exact combination of shared traits is in itself wholly unique. It isn't always shallow though, try finding a critically thinking person in a ideological discord server. People deliberately seek these groups so their common traits can be reinforced. Then exend this to real life. Blue states, red states, secular countries, religious ones.
