The famous 90s and 00's Japanese video game developer has a McDonald's video game that exists now on the genesis that they made in the 90s. It's a platformer where you play as Ronald. I've followed Treasure since the 90s and this game never released. I remember seeing an interview around after Ikaruga released where they joked about working on one but it never released because they shifted development resources off it to gunstar heroes when Sega saw gunstar and was impressed. There's residuals of this everywhere as it's never mentioned on any top 100 lists or anything and the game is a legitimate top 10 genesis title. It's really, really, good and it just magically exists now. Treasure used to be HUGE in the 00s with a hardcore fanbase talking about their games online and nowhere ever was mcdonalds brought up. It's fucking crazy. If Treasure had indeed made a top 10 genesis mcdonalds game, people would have been talking about it online the past 25 years.
