Zohar Revelations on Satan:
The Zohar explicitly states that the first thing Ha-Satan (also named Samma'el) did after being cast down to the Earth in his draconic form was alter the biological forms of everything he came into contact with, creating reptiles and venomous creatures.
It also states that his angels, primarily consisting of Seraphim like himself, took on similar forms and intermingled with the giants who roamed the Earth, creating the Anakim "horrors", "terrifying ones" who were described as having long legs and broad necks, who participated in blood-drinking, cannibalism and all forms of iniquity. These were wiped out by Michael and his armies, however a few remained, and many more were created afterwards, after the creation of the newly created race of Adam.
