For the worst ones, absolutely terrifying. An imperfect analogy: a young boy being screamed at by his parents, guilting him to jump into a fire naked.
Or: A bee coming home to find its hive is full of wasps and honey has melted over the exit behind it.
Obviously the experience is too subjective to communicate well but it is what I had to face and I wasn't even given time to prepare.
My advice? Put it all on faith and let it ride. It is too late for them to do anything else.

It will be like taking a test they studied an outdated book for. They will pass because it is familiar enough but the worry, perhaps even some miniature dread, will be present as well.
