It seems Tenen was inspired by regularities in the letters of the book of Genesis. I'm ambivalent in that regard.
One hand hand, the book of Genesis seems to hide some very deep meaning. Adam and Eve, earth and breath, are much more than two proto-humans, and their exile from paradise is a symbol beyond being kicked from a garden somewhere near Harran.
On the other hand, jews feel exceptional, and will spend a lot of time and energy pondering on letters of their holy book, which I feel is a trap. Adoring a piece of wood for your god is bad; beliving your god bound in a book and adoring that is much more dangerous.
Or, if you want, pondering the bible letter by letter is as useful as pondering the newspaper's sports pages: if you look deep enough, you'll find god's manifestation in both.
